Got It! First Year Mentoring

GOT IT! is a program designed to help first year students on the road to academic success.

Since 2012, the Faculty of Arts' first year class are divided into three groups. Students are regularly contacted by one of three Mentors: Dr. Mercedes Rowinsky, Associate Dean: Student Affairs; or Cherie Mongeon or Julie Pong, Academic Advisors in the Faculty of Arts Dean's Office.

The purpose of this program is to connect with our new students during their first year to ensure they are aware of the abundance of resources available at Laurier. The GOT IT! program also offers study tips and suggestions in order to facilitate students' transition to University. During the first year of this mentoring program, we received very positive feedback.

We wish success to our Arts students in their first year at Laurier, and we are thrilled to be working with them!
