Academic Integrity

Laurier maintains a strong commitment to ensuring academic integrity and promoting understanding of academic integrity. Students at Laurier are expected to be honest in their academic work and behaviour on and off campus.

The Student Code of Conduct and Discipline states that "academic dishonesty, fraud, wilful misconduct and failure to respect the rights of others" are all offenses and disciplinary action will be taken.

Students should familiarize themselves with Turnitin, a plagiarism detection service, which is used in courses across campus.

If you are a faculty member or student representative who would like us to come speak with your class or group about academic integrity and writing, avoiding plagiarism, or using sources appropriately in research, please contact Boba Samuels, Manager of the Writing Centre.
