MSW Curriculum Review
A guiding principle at the Faculty of Social Work (FSW) is openness to change and renewal. It has been 10 years since the last curriculum review and the FSW decided it was time to engage in the review process again. The Curriculum Review Committee established April 2012, consists of faculty, part-time faculty, field instructors and students. The group has been working very hard for six months identifying its Terms of Reference, reviewing the Faculty of Social Work's new vision and mission and the curriculum of other schools and faculties of social work in Canada and the US. The committee believes it is necessary to speak to and receive feedback from our stakeholders before re-visioning the curriculum. The curriculum review committee separated into working groups in four different areas: diversity, equity and inclusivity; ifg, cppo, practice and placement; research and international education. Each group developed questions for stakeholders and the decision was to hold a day for the consultation.
