Research Groups

CCRLA facilitates CBR by brokering linkages between community partners and Laurier student and faculty researchers. Research projects are either community or university-initiated and fall within five key streams:

1) Community Flex Stream (inactive); 2) Community, Environment, and Justice; 3) Equity, Sexual Health and HIV; 4) Indigenous Rights and Social Justice; and 5) Poverty Reduction.

Each stream is organized in research groups which operate under the CCRLA umbrella. The research groups affiliated with CCRLA are very active and have produced many great examples of outstanding CBR that not only advances scientific knowledge, but influences policy and decision-making of stakeholders in government and community practice. CCRLA actively seeks to develop new opportunities and partnerships for research and welcomes researchers interested in connecting their work with the Centre.
