Tshepo Graduate Seminars - Dec. 4th, 2012

On December 4th 2012, The Tshepo Institute for the Study of Contemporary Africa, The Human Rights & Human Diversity Program (Brantford) and the Department of Global Studies (Waterloo) presented a graduate seminar by two visiting doctoral fellows from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Benjamin Yaw Tachie (University of Cape Coast) spoke on youth entrepreneurship in the informal sector in Ghana, and the role of human and social capital. Augustina Araba Amissah (University of Cape Coast) spoke on managerial strategies for improving the quality of life of male single-parents in the central region of Ghana. Enriching information was presented at the seminar, and both fellows received insight and constructive critique from attendees. The Tshepo Institute wishes both Benjamin and Augustina the best of luck in their endeavours.
