SP288: Study Abroad
SP288: Study Abroad (formally SP200) is a 1.0-credit Spanish language and cultural immersion experience. The program is offered in Spain each Spring term under the supervision of an accompanying WLU professor.
During the stay abroad, SP288 students are placed in their appropriate level of Spanish and receive intensive instruction emphasizing key areas of Spanish language learning such as speaking, listening, and grammar. Students also have the opportunity to develop Spanish language skills through constant interaction with Spanish-speaking teachers, host families, community members, and other international students.
In 2017, SP288 is celebrating its 10th Anniversary Year Diamond Jubilee! Come study abroad from May 13-June 9, 2017 and join the nearly 150 students who have participated in SP288!
The SP288 host institution is El Colegio de Espaņa in Salamanca, Spain. The group also travels to over a dozen UNESCO World Heritage Sites throughout Spain on guided tours which offer an understanding of various cultures and contextualize language, art, and history.
