Drop-in Help

Spring Term 2016

Thanks to the generous support of the Students' Union, the MAC now operates a traditional drop-in help centre. Senior undergraduate students provide assistance to any student seeking help with:

  • general mathematics questions at an introductory level
  • any 100-level mathematics course
  • selected 200-level mathematics courses - MA201, MA205, MA215, MA222, MA241, ST230, ST259/260
  • any introductory statistics course offered by any of the academic departments - BU/EC255, EC245, EC285, PS295/296, GG254/258, PO218, SY382

Drop by with a quick question in between your classes, or plan to stay for awhile to work on assigned homework problems, individually or in small groups.

Drop-in Help Sessions

Location: The MAC's Student Study Centre, Room BA401 in the Bricker Academic Building

Regular Hours of Operation (Mon May 9th - Thurs July 21st):

Day Time
   Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays         1:00pm - 7:00pm
   Thursdays        2:00pm - 6:00pm

Note: The Centre will be closed on Mon May 23rd.

Check the Peer Tutor Schedule to know when to get help for your particular course(s).

Hours of Operation, Spring Term Exam Period (July 25th - Aug 10th): While there won't always be a peer tutor available, room BA401 will be open at the following times for students to use as study space.

   Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs        2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
   Friday   10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Aug 1st - Aug 5th    Peer Tutor Schedule

   Monday       Centre Closed (statutory holiday)
   Tuesday     12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Aug 8th - Aug 10th     Peer Tutor Schedule

  Monday       12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Tues/Wed   12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
