International Energy Agency:

The International Energy Agency (IEA) serves the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development as an autonomous organisation which works to ensure reliable, affordable and clean energy for its 28 member countries and beyond.

World Energy Outlook:

Annual report of the IEA forecasting future energy production and consumption.

The Energy Administration Agency:

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) collects, analyzes, and disseminates independent and impartial energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment.

The Global Energy Assessment:
Coordinated by the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), The Global Energy Assessment involves specialists from a range of disciplines, industry groups, and policy areas in defining a new global energy policy agenda, one that is capable of transforming the way society thinks about, uses and delivers energy and to facilitate equitable and sustainable energy services for all, in particular the two billion people who currently lack access to clean, modern energy.

Sustainable Energy Without the Hot Air:

A pragmatic, numbers-based assessment on the question of whether renewable energy sources can displace fossil fuels, accompanied by policy recommendations, by UK physicist David J. C. McKay. Highly readable and engaging, a very useful contribution to the conversation. The book can be downloaded free at this site.

Center for Climate and Energy Solutions:

The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (formerly the Pew Center on Global Climate Change) brings together business leaders, policy makers, scientists, and other experts to bring a new approach to a complex and often controversial issue. The approach is based on sound science, straight talk, and a belief that we can work together to protect the climate while sustaining economic growth.
