JHSC/AWM Specific Training
The following sessions are for Joint Health and Safety Committee members and Auxillary Worker Members.

In order to meet legislative requirements for workplace inspections, Auxiliary Worker Members of the JHSC will be required to take this two part training. Part 1 of the training is an online module that consists of the legislative requirements of the JHSC, workplace safety inspections, and how to identify common workplace hazards. Part 2 of the training is a 1.5 hour in-class session that instructs users on Pervidi (Laurier's workplace inspection management software) and offers useful tips and information on conducting inspections.
PART 1 : Online training (accessed by the employee through My Learning Space)
The online training can be completed by logging onto MyLearningSpace using your Windows username and password and clicking on the "Self Registration" link at the top of the page to register for "Auxiliary Worker Member Training".
Once you have completed the registration, the course will be available on your My Learning Space homepage under your course list.
PART 2 : In class 1.5 hour inspection software training (provided by SHERM)
Following your completion of Part 1, you will need to register for an in class session (Part 2). Upcoming training dates and registration information can be found on SHERM’s website, found HERE.
