Undergraduate and Graduate Students Projects

To start working together, you should be fairly good at calculus, linear algebra and differential equations. Some physics background and familiarity with Maple or Matlab would be nice.

Below are some research projects. If you are curious about a particular problem, please come and talk to me.

Interacting elliptical vortices in a background shear flow in Hamiltonian formulation

Dust carried by vortices

A low-dimensional model for atmospheric dynamics: rigid-body dynamics with dissipative and forcing terms

N-body problems in computer vision

N-body problems in astrophysics

Space station parking in the asteroid belt: stability of a satellite in the gravitational attraction of two rigid bodies

Attitude control of a satellite via shape change
