BI396N Plant Life in Aquatic and Amphibious Habitats: Identification of the characteristics of “successful wetland plants” through lecture, laboratory and field exercises. Prerequisites: BI110/111 and BI266

BI 396Q Plant Ecology: An introduction to the study of relationships among plants and the abiotic and biotic environment.Prerequisites: BI110/111 and BI266

BI496N Wetland Ecology: An examination of the common characteristics of wetlands and identification of the features used for wetland classification. Lecture and laboratory exercises will be augmented with field trips to local wetlands. Prerequisites: BI396N

BI499 Honors Thesis: Students will carry out individual research under the supervision of a faculty member. The resulting study will be documented in a formal thesis. In addition, course requirements include both written submissions and presentations. Research projects should have been chosen with the guidance of prospective thesis supervisors prior to undertaking the project.
