Instructional Development Grants


Laurier provides two programs of financial support for full-time faculty, part-time contract academic staff. 

For more information about applying for grants, refer to the information provided below:

Travel Grants

Only one travel grant per applicant will be granted per year. 

Maximum: $1,000

Deadline: Open 

Online Application Form

Project Grants

Maximum: $2,500 

Deadlines: October 15 | for projects beginning in following Winter/Spring term // March 15 | for projects beginning in following Spring/Fall term

Adjudication: Project Grants are adjudicated by the Senate Committee on University Teaching (SCUT). SCUT has scheduled meetings in September, November, March, and May. We encourage those submitting a Project Grant application to do so in the month prior to a SCUT meeting (i.e., submit in October for a November adjudication).

Offering of these grants is subject to available budget.

Only one grant of the same type will be granted per applicant, per academic year. Refer to the ID grant information sheet (below). All application must by submitted electronically.
