Remembrance Day ceremonies in Waterloo, Brantford, Kitchener and Toronto

A number of ceremonies marking Remembrance Day this Sunday Nov. 11 are available to Laurier staff, faculty, students and alumni near the Waterloo and Brantford campuses, as well as the Kitchener and Toronto offices.
City of Waterloo – Royal Canadian Legion, branch 530: A parade will leave at 9:45 a.m., marching to the Waterloo Cenotaph on Regina Street (next to City Hall) for a ceremony at 10:15 a.m. A moment of silence will be observed at 11 a.m. For more details, visit the website for the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530.
City of Kitchener – Royal Canadian Legion, Fred Gies branch 50, will host a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Kitchener Cenotaph. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs from Young St., along King St., and up Frederick St. to the Cenotaph. The ceremony will begin after the parade. City of Brantford – A Remembrance Day service will be held Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. at the Brantford Armouries/Cenotaph. For more details, visit the website for Mayor Chris Friel.
City of Toronto – A ceremony will be held at Toronto’s Old City Hall Cenotaph, located at 60 Queen St. W. Ceremonies will also take place at Civic Centres across Toronto, as well as at Fort York.
