Bake sale Dec. 2 to aid the Philippines

Dec 2/13

Laurier's Philippine student community is supporting efforts to provide relief to those affected by typhoon Hiayan by collaborating with the University of Waterloo Filipino Association.

Laurier students are selling baked goods and pins, as well as collecting donations in the Concourse at Laurier’s Waterloo campus TODAY (Dec. 2) from noon to 4:30 p.m.

Funds raised will go directly to the Red Cross Typhoon Haiyan fund.

The Canadian government is matching donations made by individual Canadians to aid in the relief efforts. All donations made to a registered Canadian charity responding to the crisis in the Philippines before Dec. 9, 2013 will be matched.
