Part-time student orientation runs April 28
Communications, Public Affairs & Marketing
If you’re a new part-time student at Laurier, the office of Teaching Support Services invites you to “come grow with us” at the spring part-time student orientation April 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Peters Building, SBE 1230.
“It’s a great opportunity for part-time students to meet one another and get an overview of essential student information in one session,” says Sandy Hughes, director, Teaching Support Services. “The feedback we’ve had from previous participants has been extremely positive.”
Presentations will include Full-time Job, Full-time Life: Student Services That Assist The Part-timer, as well as a tour of key campus locations.
Representatives from information technology, the library, career services, learning services and the student union will be on hand to talk about their services and to answer questions from students.
“The speakers were all wonderful,” noted a past participant in a written evaluation. “It’s so good to have contacts and to have a personal connection with the university before you even begin your studies.”
Participants will learn how to register for classes online, use student email, and connect to the library.
Advanced registration is required. Register online at www.wlu.ca/pts or contact Melissa Ireland, firstname.lastname@example.org or 519-884-0710 ext. 3902.
