Laurier business students earn grants for outstanding leadership
Communications, Public Affairs & Marketing
Two students in Laurier’s School of Business & Economics have each earned $5,000 grants from the Futures Fund for Outstanding Leadership, which were handed out Feb. 17 as part of Canada's Outstanding CEO of the Year dinner.
Hani Migally, a fourth-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student at Laurier, and Adrian Morun, who is fifth-year double degree student in the BBA program at Laurier and math program at the University of Waterloo, were among a group of 10 students who earned the scholarships.
Migally and Morun have both competed in the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC) – an annual business case competition featuring teams from Canadian universities as well as international competitors. Migally is also part of the Jeux du Commerce (JDC) Central Competition and is a first-year teaching assistant.
The Futures Fund for Outstanding Leadership was established to honour 10 Canadian university business students each year who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in their academic and extra-curricular initiatives.
