New for Spring Term 2014: MA110* - Introduction to Differential and Integral Calculus

Math 110* is a first-year course in introductory differential and integral calculus that is worth a full credit. It is usually offered over two terms - Fall and Winter. As a prerequisite for other MA courses, it is equivalent to one-semester MA103 course. For the first time, we are offering it over the summer of (Spring Term) of 2014 if enrollment requirements are met.


Undergraduate Calendar Description:

Introduction to Differential and Integral Calculus
1.0 Credit

A thorough introduction to limits of functions. Continuity and its consequences. Rational, algebraic and transcendental functions and geometric relationships. Theory and applications of differential and integral calculus of functions of a single variable. The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and techniques of integration. Introduction to multivariable calculus and applications.

Additional Course Information:

    Completion of the Calculus Preparation Evaluation.
      MA100, MA101, MA102, MA103, MA105, MA129, MA130.
     3 lecture hours, 1.5 lab hours
