Congratulations to the Spring 2013 Graduands
On June 7th, 2013, 242 master's and 12 doctoral degrees will be conferred on Laurier graduate students at the spring 2013 convocation ceremony. The ceremony begins at 2:00 pm and is held in the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. The convocation ceremony is followed by a reception in the Science Building Atrium for friends, family and faculty to celebrate the success of the graduating students.
The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is also pleased to announce the winners of medals for academic excellence at the graduate level, to be awarded at the convocation ceremony. The Medal of Academic Excellence is awarded to one master's and one doctoral candidate from each faculty and demonstrates a student's high academic standings.
At the master's level, the winners include Tanya Tudhope, MA, Cultural Analysis and Social Theory (CAST), Emily-Jane Costa, MSc, Biology, Marcee Groen, MSW, Eric Windhorst, MA, Theology and Zainab Khan, MA, Economics. At the doctoral level, the winners include Amarnath Amarasingam, PhD, Religious Studies and Marina Morgenshtern, PhD, Social Work.
