Another successful Academy of Management Conference for OB/HRM!

The OB/HRM area was busy at the prestigious Academy of Management conference in Orlando, Florida. 

Some highlights of the conference for OB/HRM included: 

Dr. Ivona Hideg

Paper nominated for the Carolyn Dexter Award (Best International Paper): When disadvantage becomes advantageous: A conflict expectation model of demographic faultlines

Paper selected for the Best Paper Proceedings: Two sides of sexism: How sexist attitudes may undermine and promote gender diversity.

Dr. Manuela Priesemuth

Participated in a Showcase Symposium and presented her paper: Abusive supervision climate: A multiple mediation model of its impact on group and individual outcomes.

Presented her paper: Stand up and speak up: Employees' prosocial reactions to observed abusive supervision.

Dr. Jessie Zhan

Presented her paper: Emotional labor and emotional exhaustion: Mediating role of customer treatment toward employees.

Chaired the session:The impact of diversity on teams.

Dr. Laurie Barclay

Won the Reviewer of the Year award from the Journal of Organizational Behavior

Chaired the session: Justice from the actor's perspective.

Co-authored two papers with her students (Annika Hillebrandt and Dave Whiteside) that were presented in symposiums.

Dr. Lisa Keeping

Annika Hillebrandt (PhD Candidate)
