You can receive funding to pursue your research-based masters studies
Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
Wilfrid Laurier University provides competitive guaranteed funding to eligible students enrolled on a full-time basis in research-intensive masterís programs. Major award holders (OGS, CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) in the research master's programs are eligible for top-up funding up to $12,000 (which includes the Dean's Scholarship, valued at $7,500), in addition to the external award.
Full-time eligible students typically receive a minimum of $12,000 for each eligible year of study (comprising teaching assistantships and scholarship). Many programs supplement the student funding with research assistantships or studentships, from faculty research grants. Graduate students may also apply for or receive support from bursaries and endowment opportunities as available through the Student Awards Office.
