Highlighting recent MSc graduates

Sep 21/12

At the end of the summer several MSc Chemistry graduate students successfully defended their theses. Congratulations to all !

Matthew Nicols thesis investigated the structure-function relationship of three membrane active peptides using isothermal titration calorimetry, circular dichroism and fluorescence spectroscopy as biophysical tools. Matt was supervised by Dr. Masoud Jelokhani-Niaraki and Dr. Lillian DeBruin

Julia Tofan-Lazar performed ATR-FTIR Studies on the Kinetics of Dimethylarsinic Acid (DMA) Surface Complexation with Iron(oxyhydr)oxides.  Julia was supervised by Dr. Hind Al-Abadleh.

Joseph Paquette Synthesis and Investigation of the Liquid Crystalline Properties of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons.  Joe was supervised by Dr. Kenneth Maly.
