Laurier double degree student Matt Inglot will be in Ottawa on March 23 and 24 as one of only six competitors selected from across Canada to vie for the national Wes Nicol Entrepreneurial Award. Inglot’s business, Tilted Pixel, offers comprehensive web site services to businesses and not-for-profit organizations. A business and computer science double degree student, Inglot competed in the Laurier Entrepreneurship Challenge to earn a shot at the national award.

“Laurier is well known for producing students with innovative business ideas. It’s not just about what we teach them but how they apply their learning in the real world as well,” said Steve Farlow, executive director of Laurier’s Schlegel Centre for Entrepreneurship. “Matt has worked hard to develop, launch, and grow his business and we are proud of his progress thus far. We look forward to seeing Tilted Pixel achieve even more success in the near future.”

The Wes Nicol Entrepreneurial Award is a national non-profit competition designed to promote entrepreneurship at Canadian post-secondary institutions. Now in its 12th year, the program is holding its fifth national Wes Nicol Entrepreneurial Award ceremony at the Château Laurier in Ottawa on March 24.
