New course in Windows application programming to be offered in Winter term

The department will be offering a new course this winter in Windows application programming.  As the course has just been approved, it is not yet on LORIS.

Students who had originally registered for CP211 will have first choice for the course.  CP211 will be cancelled for the winter term. Class size is limited to 51 students.

The course description follows: 

CP212: Windows Application Programming

This course is designed for students who have a good understanding of using computers for data processing and some programming experience and who want to acquire the necessary skills to create computer programs for business or scientific applications. Students will learn and practice problem solving, computer programming and software development by creating independent Windows based application programs and integrated database applications with Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, Excel and Access.

3 lecture hours, 1.5 lab hours
Credit: 0.50
Prerequisite: CP102 and previous programming experience, or CP104
