NAFTA Mobility Program: Opportunity to Study in Mexico
To Students in the Faculty of Arts:
All Arts Students are eligible to apply for the NAFTA Mobility Program for the fall term 2009 (September to December) or the winter term 2010 (January to May).
Under the NAFTA Mobility Program, students can apply to study at one of two universities in Mexico: Universidad Veracruzana, (Xalapa, Veracruz,México) and Universidad de Sonora (Hermosillo, Sonora, México).
Eligible Students will be provided with scholarships to cover some of their expenses while at their host institutions. As with other international exchange programs, you are still responsible for paying your regular
tuition at Wilfrid Laurier. However, your scholarship funds will help with some expenses incurred at the host institution. Academic terms at Mexican universities are a bit longer and students will need to factor this
into their travel/academic planning. Interested students will be required to pass a Spanish language qualifying exam.
The deadline to apply for the grant is February 13, 2009. Successful candidates will be notified of the decisions by March 6, 2009.
