Field course - Flora of Ontario, Module #12 ended last week

May 26/08

The field botany course Flora of Ontario (Module # 12, OUPFB) ended [with regrets on my part at least!] on Friday May 23rd. Weather was great and mosquitoes gentle. We had a great time hunting for plants in numerous places from southern Ontario: Bechtel Park (Waterloo), Belgian Nurseries (on Hwy 7, between Kitchener and Guelph), Royal Botanical Gardens (Burlington), Sudden Tract Forest and Dickson Wilderness (south of Cambridge), Inglis Falls (south of Owen Sound), Bognor Marsh (Grey County Road 18 east of Rockford), Luther Marsh (NE of Arthur), Devil’s Pulpit (Credit Provincial Park), Cheltenham Badlands, and Bruce Peninsula. We’ve seen spring plants growing in a wide variety of terrestrial and wetland habitats, and we had a great time at the same time. Thanks to everyone!

Here are a few photographs taken during the course.
