WATERLOO – Inshallah, Waterloo Lutheran Seminary's 100-voice choir, will present a program of Christmas Carols with a Global Twist at the rotunda of Kitchener City Hall, Tuesday, Dec. 10 starting at 5 p.m. The community is invited to come join in the singing, share some hot cider provided by St. Peter's, St. Matthews and St. Mark's Lutheran churches, and bring a donation for the House of Friendship, a Kitchener downtown charitable organization.

Inshallah celebrates the diversity of Kitchener-Waterloo with Christmas songs from around the world, including Asia and the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Director Debbie Lou Ludolph says it is a way to celebrate neighbours new and old in this region.

"Several of the carols focus on children," says Ludolph. "A beautiful carol from Brazil that remembers the children who live in the dumps in San Paulo sings 'Look in the face of children everywhere and see the child of God, the gift of love'; and a carol from New Zealand reminds us: 'Every child needs bread—Christmas must be shared.'”

Come and sing with us. Share Christmas by singing with your neighbours and stopping to celebrate the gift of community.
