TORONTO Alex Patinios, Laurier alumnus and president of Dionysus Wines and Spirits Limited who was responsible for bringing the wildly successful Fuzion wine brand to Canada from Argentina in 2009 will present a wine-education seminar on June 21 at the Laurier Toronto office, 130 King St. W.

Patinios will de-mystify the restaurant wine list and provide tips on how to entertain clients with wine. The evening will conclude with an opportunity to appreciate wine when Patinios guides an educational wine tasting.

After starting Dionysus in 1990 while studying at Laurier, Patinios spent many years learning about the wine industry. Dionysus started as a niche Greek wine & spirit agency and today is the largest wine agency in Ontario, representing over 200 suppliers from around the world.

The event is exclusive to Laurier alumni and Laurier MBA students. To register, please visit or contact Caitlin Aitchison at
