Laurier hosts SHARCNET 10th Anniversary Research Symposium

Laurier will host a research symposium on its Waterloo campus Nov. 17 to mark the 10th anniversary of SHARCNET (the Shared Hierarchical Academic Research Computing Network). Laurier is one of the founding members of the organization, which brings high performance computing to researchers at 17 academic partners in Ontario.
Three Laurier researchers who use SHARCNET – Ian Hamilton, Shohini Ghose and Jacek Miloszewski – will discuss some of their interesting work, and Hugh Couchman, SHARCNET’s scientific director, will give an overview of SHARCNET’s past and future.
