The University is in the process of transitioning to a new website. Please go to our newPsychology homepageto find detailed information about our department, programs, and people.

As of September 2016, UU150 is a prerequisite for courses with a Community Service Learning (CSL) component for Year 1 students, but returning students do not need the UU150 prerequisite.  If you are going to take one of the CSL courses (PS275, PS276, PS282, PS283, PS377, PS379, PS383), please contact Kim Susanna or before registration starts to give you an override (if you don’t have UU150) to get into the course.  Please indicate the term, course number, section, and CRN of each requested CSL course, and put “CSL Course Override Request” in the subject line.

People at Laurier

Dr. Anne Wilson, Department of Psychology A social psychologist that specializes in self-appraisals, Dr. Anne Wilson explores how comparisons shape people’s self-image over the course of their lives, which influences their current well-being, satisfaction and health in general. Of particular interest are the comparisons they make to others and those involving their former selves. Her research will eventually lead to programs that can help people deal with major life events including going to university, changing jobs and moving into assisted living.
