Dr. Sider teaches leadership courses in the Master of Education program and, in the Bachelor of Education, EU 407 (Special Education) and the Professional Learning Seminar (EU 404).

Prior to his work at WLU, Dr. Sider instructed in the Faculty of Education at Western and Redeemer.  He has been an elementary and secondary school teacher and administrator.  He has a Specialist certificate in Special Education and has been a resource teacher and consultant in this field.

Dr. Sider's research and writing interests are in global perspective building, inclusive schools, and creative school leadership. He spends considerable time each year teaching and learning in Haiti ( and is on the executive of the Comparative and International Education Society of Canada (CIESC).
