I am an associate professor with the Faculty of Education at WLU.   I have taught courses in education and psychology, including EU400: Professional Learning Seminar; EU402: School and Society; EU401 Learning and Child Development; EU423 Health and Physical Education; PS283: Educational Psychology and PS475: Seminar in Developmental Psychology.

I was an elementary educator in the Waterloo Region for almost a decade before returning to Laurier to complete my Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology.   I have two wonderful daughters and an equally spectacular husband who complement my life and expand my horizons.  I love to be outside doing physical activities while appreciating the beauty of our natural earth.

I spend a great deal of my time with professional reading in an attempt to answer my many questions about education and life in general.  My research interests follow those many questions related to digital technologies for teaching and learning, and the variables that impact the integration of these emerging tools with current pedagogy.  That is--how do mobile technologies help and hinder learning? what are the features of digital technologies and the Internet that improve learning and enable innovation? how do we measure the impact of digital technologies on 21st century outcomes such as collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and critical thinking?

My current research is supported by a SSHRC Insight Development Grant investigating Computational Thinking across Disciplines.
