Canadian Excellence

Wilfrid Laurier University has a Pandemic Response Plan to ensure that the institution is ready to respond quickly and appropriately to the threat and/or occurrence of a pandemic.

The Plan is reviewed on an annual basis by a Pandemic Planning Committee. This group makes recommendations on changes and enhancements to the document. It also advises and makes recommendations to the President related to such items as the status of local pandemic plans, any situations being monitored locally and/or globally, and the World Health Organization’s (WHO’s) global risk assessments.
