Laurier's United Way 2016 Campaign
A key part of Laurierís focus on inspiring lives of leadership and purpose is supporting the communities in which we reside. It has been a proud part of our history, and is an essential part of our future. Laurierís support takes many forms, and each year, one of the ways we impact our communities is by supporting the United Way of Kitchener Waterloo & Area and Brant United Way through Laurierís United Way campaign. Donations towards Laurier's 2016 campaign -- no matter how small or large -- will help to improve the wellbeing of our local communities through vital programs and services. All United Way gifts are charitable donations.

Why should I give?
The impact the United Wayís member agencies have on the people who use their services is profound. Many of us have benefited from these services directly, or have friends or family members who have.
Even a small amount can make a significant difference. Information provided by the United Way indicates that:
$5 provides one meal to someone who is homeless because of abuse, giving them refuge in a safe environment.
$65 supplies a few hours of help to an elderly woman three days a week, allowing her to keep her frail husband at home.
$85 provides one family with a plot in a community vegetable garden, helping to create access to improved nutrition.
$100 offers a child a year-long one-to-one mentorship program, providing them with an opportunity for friendship and social skills development helping them succeed at school.
