My main research and teaching interests are in social and political theory with an emphasis on human rights, theories of justice, democracy, and ethics. My PhD dissertation addresses human rights in a substantial way. Entitled "Education in the 21st Century: Human Rights and Individual Actions", I develop and defend education as a human right, to openly and critically consider both the role education should play within the larger social structure of a stable society and, the scope of educational experience necessary to enhance an individual's life prospects.
