Residing within External Relations, the department serves an outreach role to the wider community and does so through the development of strategic relationships between Laurier and its various stakeholders. The department is comprised of two units: Ceremonies & Events; the Toronto Office.
The Ceremonies & Events unit coordinates high level events to be hosted by the President, Chancellor, and other senior officials that are central to the strategic goals of the University. Such events include convocation, award ceremonies, recognition and appreciation events, community outreach, Board and other special events.
The Toronto Office, located on the ground floor of The Exchange Tower at King and York Streets, supports Laurierís weekend-format MBA program, co-op work terms and employer partnerships, student recruitment, alumni relations, university development activities and government relations. The Toronto Office is one of the strategic directions the University has pursued in its effort to raise Laurierís profile regionally, nationally and internationally.
