2014- Vice-President and Program Chair, Canadian Association for the Study of Discourse and Writing

As manager of Laurier's Writing Centre, it is my goal to encourage the participation of students, faculty, and staff in developing writing excellence. I am committed to active collaboration, openness, and a culture of learning.

My doctoral thesis explored how undergraduate students learn to write in the disciplines, specifically in anthropology.  My undergraduate degree is in educational psychology.

Prior to coming to Laurier in 2010, I had the pleasure of working in two other writing centres. I tutored students and taught several writing courses, including ESL writing, rhetoric and exposition, and oral discourse. At Laurier's Writing Centre, I worked as the writing consultant before taking on the position of manager in 2014.
