YMCA Immigrant Settlement Services (ISS) is pleased to welcome Alexis Bonecchi to Brantford, Ontario.

Alexis was born and raised in Mexico City, and has been living in Canada for seven years. She has a Bachelor Degree in Psychology, and a Diploma in Family Therapy. Alexis has also been fully trained as a Gestalt Psychotherapist. She has enjoyed a private counselling practice for more than twelve years, and is the mother of two. Alexis has presented in various agencies, schools and conferences.

In her presentation, Winds of Change, she will be talking about the challenges newcomers face as they attempt to adapt to their new life in Canada. Alexis uses examples from her own experiences as a newcomer to illustrate the transitions immigrants go through as they adapt to their new lives and look for work.

Join us as we talk about the emotions, humour and adventures involved in searching for work while making a new home in a new place.
