Intercultural Communication in Feedback and Conflict

Jan 17/14

Date: Jan 17/14
Time: 13:00 - 15:30
Location: DAWB 2-101
Cost: Free

Conflict sometimes arises from differences in communication styles and differences in how feedback is delivered or received. In this workshop, participants will examine different ways of dealing with conflict and feedback that are culture bound. Participants in the workshop will take the Intercultural Conflict Style Inventory. By attending this session, you will be able to:

  • identify approaches to feedback & conflict that are influenced by culture;
  • recognize the possible strengths and weaknesses of your approach to conflict;
  • incorporate strategies with your students to contribute to productive relationships.
