This Month's Topic: 


Gale Cyr is Anishinaabe kwe (Algonquin woman) and is a member of Timiskaming Band and French Canadian. She is coming to us with many years of experience in the field of Indigenous social work practice as a teacher, learner, administrator and grassroots community worker. She is a storyteller and our students will receive much knowledge and wisdom for their wholistic healing practice from her. Gale has an MSW from Carleton, a BA in Social Welfare from Nipissing University, a social service worker diploma from Canadore College, and she is working on a PhD in Sociology and Equity Studies, with a specialization in Aboriginal education, at U of T/OISE.
