Take an hour of your day to connect over coffee/tea with academic colleagues and peers from different disciplines and departments who share an interest in teaching and learning, particularly those who teach first year students and/or larger classes.

You don't need to register to participate, just show up and join the conversation as we exchange best practices, issues/challenges, lessons learned and more. Gatherings are informal and driven by participant needs, interests, and questions. Given the timing of our first meeting this will be an excellent opportunity to reflect on the first week of classes and begin to think about and plan for implementing midterm exams.

Browse the teaching larger classes/first year students wiki site to review highlights from previous gatherings. Check out other CoP groups (e.g., writing, technology, Brantford).
For more information or to suggest topics for discussion, contact the CoP Chair, Professor Ken Maly, Department of Chemistry (
