The PJSA Student Conference


Attention all Laurier students!
Thanks to a generous donation from the Office of the Dean of Students at Laurier, we are pleased to be able to offer a special discounted registration rate of $30 for the first 50 Laurier students to register and pay for the Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA) 2013 Student Conference.

About PJSA 2013 Student Conference:
Running alongside the PJSA 2013 Conference, this Student Conference (Oct 17-19, 2013) is an exciting opportunity for students who are passionate about and interested in peace and justice. The Conference is co-hosted by WLU's Global Studies Department and Conrad Grebel's Peace and Conflict Studies Program. Highlights of the conference include a keynote presentation and performance by hip-hop artist (and former child soldier) Emmanuel Jal, and feature presentations by Idle No More co-founder Sylvia McAdam, Engineers Without Borders co-founder George Roter, author Shannon Moroney, and youth activist Brigette DePape; students will also be able to participate in the main PJSA academic conference schedule (schedule at

Lunch is provided on Friday and Saturday and students will participate in interactive breakout sessions on Friday afternoon.

**Special Discount & Registration**
The first 50 students to REGISTER and PAY before Friday October 4th will be eligible for this 50% discount. Tickets will go fast, so make sure you register and pay to ensure a $30 ticket!

You can register ONLINE and PAY in the Global Studies Office (DAWB 5-120) or during our Concourse Booth dates.
