Wilfrid Laurier University Undergraduate Academic Calendar - 2008/2009
Canadian Excellence

Laurier Brantford provides students with an educational alternative to standard university programming. Interdisciplinary liberal arts are combined with applied professional and occupational programs to provide a strong foundation for both employment and further studies.

Our unique core curriculum in contemporary studies promotes a broader understanding of contemporary issues and more broadly applicable cultural literacy, creativity, critical thinking and communication skills.   All full-time students on the Brantford Campus are required to complete a minimum of 5.0 credits in contemporary studies (4.0 of these at the senior level).

Discipline-based honours programs include Criminology, Health Studies, Health Administration, Journalism, Leadership and Law & Society; combination honours degrees in English, History, Psychology and  Human Rights & Human Diversity; education programs; options in Administration, Environment & Society, Indigenous Studies, Media Studies and Public Relations and minors in a selection of arts programs.

Brantford students may also pursue programs which combine their studies with college programs available at Mohawk College and Conestoga College. (Refer to Admission to Laurier Brantford.)
