Honours BA North American Archaeology

The Honours BA in North American Archaeology consists of 20.0 credits, of which not more than 6.0 can be at the 100 level. The program must contain at least 10.5 but no more than 15.0 credits in Archaeology, including the following:

AN101, AR101, AR102, AR103, AR217, AR219*, AR220, AR235, AR241, AR242, AR244, AR246, AR336, AR341, AR360, AR453, AR461, AR462, and

GPA Calculation
For purposes of progression and graduation, the cumulative GPA will be calculated on all archaeology courses on record.

Additional Information

  1. Students are encouraged to take the field course (AR219*) as early in the program as possible. Field courses are normally offered over the summer session, and should be taken at a site corresponding to the student's primary area of interest if possible.
  2. Some courses may be offered on a rotating basis; it is the student's responsibility to plan his/her program accordingly.
  3. Students wishing to pursue a graduate program in North American Archaeology are strongly encouraged, in addition, to register for one of two specialization options depending on their area of interest. [Historical/Industrial Option, Pre-contact Option]
