Advanced Reporting and Writing II
0.5 Credit

A continuation of Part I, this course reviews practical aspects of generating text-based journalism from within a critical context. It is intended as a complement to JN319, offering students a chance to develop greater experience with newsroom skills and practices. Students will focus on the writing process and practice different story forms (investigative, explanatory, narrative, editorial and profile writing). They will draw upon related academic disciplines (such as literary and cultural studies) to deepen their understanding of the journalistic writing process.
